Three churches in Jiangxi Province will not hold celebrative activities at Christmas.

Nanchang Municipal CC&TSPM released notices on December 22, saying celebrations on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day would be canceled in Zhidao Church, Qingzhong Church, and Hongdu Church due to the grim and complex pandemic situation, according to Zhidao Church.

China announced to lock down about 13 million residents on December 22 in Xi’an, the capital of China’s north-western Shaanxi Province, the BBC reported.

From December 22 to 1 pm on December 23, the city found 91 locally transmitted COVID-19 cases, and the total number of the city’s confirmed cases reached 234 in the current outbreak, China Daily said.
