Shaanxi Churches Contribute to Fight Against COVID-19

Shaanxi churches have donated money and anti-virus supplies to front-line workers throughout the month of January.

Together with staff of Xiejing Church, Xing Jinlian, chairman of Tongchuan Municipal CC&TSPM, went to visit pandemic key workers in Wangjiahe Community on January 20, bringing 2,250 yuan worth of instant noodles, milk, biscuits, and eight-treasure porridge, Shaanxi CC&TSPM reported.

On January 12, churches in Yaozhou District and New District Church donated a total of more than 10,500 yuan worth of pandemic relief supplies and money to frontline pandemic prevention workers in the district.

On January 21, members of Wangyi Church on Qingnian Road donated money in cash and food supplies, such as instant noodles, milk, and other items, totalling 1,800 yuan, to personnel working in COVID-19 checkpoints in Qingnian Road Street.

During the second wave from mid-December last year, the donations from Tongchuan churches in cash and in kind totaled more than 74,900 yuan. From it, 36,950 yuan was donated to the teachers and students of the Shaanxi Bible School.
