Due to the coronavirus epidemic, the opening of a one-year volunteer training course in Zhongnan Theological Seminary was postponed to late March.

After the laypersons registered on March 21, the opening ceremony of the layperson training Program was held two days later, attended by trainees, relevant leaders and the faculty of the seminary, Hubei CC&TSPM reported.

Rev. Zhang Shuilian, executive deputy dean of the seminary, urged volunteers to value themselves as theological students and to be a role model for others. Rev. Zhao Qiufen introduced the brief history of the seminary and the situation of the departments at the school, helping the freshmen quickly adjust to the college life. Zhu Wei, a library staff member, told students about how to borrow books from the library.
