Jackie Chan's 'Bleeding Steel' To Be Released in Theatres Worldwide

Jackie Chan's upcoming Chinese science fiction thriller movie "Bleeding Steel" will reportedly get a worldwide release after Swen Asia of The Wen Group and WME-IMG China acquired the rights of the film.

"We are thrilled to continue our worldwide expansion strategy with this important and exciting film. Jackie Chan remains a worldwide superstar and our partnership with WME-IMG China on this project fits perfectly into our long-term plans," Swen Group president Murray Lipnik said.

According to a report, with the newly acquired rights, the science fiction thriller will be released with day-and-date release with United States, China, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Australia, Latin America and more Asian territories on December 22.

"Bleeding Steel" features Jackie Chan, Taiwanese star Show Lo and "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" actor Callan Mulvey and "Alien: Covenant" Tess Haubrich, along with Nana Ouyang from "To the Fore" and Erica Xia-Hou.

"Bleeding Steel" tells a story about Jackie Chan as a special force agent who becomes involved in a major conspiracy while protecting a scientist.

According to a report, the upcoming movie is said to be the biggest budget a Chinese production to have ever been shot in Australia and the first ever film to shoot scenes on top of the Sydney Opera House.

"Bleeding Steel" is written and directed by Lijia Zhang, Yunshan Ziahou and Siwei Cui, it was produced by China's Heyi Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures Asia.
