Aamir Khan New Movie 'Secret Superstar' Opens in China

Aamir Khan's new movie following up to his hit Indian movie "Dangal" opened in Chinese theatres.
One of the most much-anticipated Indian movies of the year, "Secret Superstar" just recently opened in China last January 19.
Director Advait Chandan, alongside theme-song singer Meghna Mishra and actress Zaira Wasim arrived on January 16 in Beijing to promote the film.
It can be recalled that Wasim also starred alongside Khan in the 2016 hit movie "Dangal," the highest-grossing Indian movie in China of all time.
"Secret Superstar" is set in Vadodara, the third-largest city in the western Indian state of Gujarat. It is about a story of a 14-year-old girl who tries to achieve her dream to become a singer with the support of her mother.
Wasim portrays the role of the teenager while Khan portrays the character of a music producer who will help her become famous.
Film director Zhang Jiajia praised the movie and said he was impressed by the theme of the film which is about empowering women to pursue their dreams.
