Did you feel like everyone else doesn't have problems praying and communicating to God except you? Do you feel like it is still awkward to have conversations with God?

There are still people who think they don't do best in praying. Trust me when I say, it's okay not to be perfect when it comes to praying and having conversation with Christ.

There are two simple steps in order to have a better prayer life:

Just let your words come out

The truth is, we pray almost all the time. We just don't mind or notice it but we pray in our heads. When we go on a trip, we pray. When we receive good news, we pray. When we are down, we ask God help. It just naturally happens. We might not hear our own words but God knows what we want to say.

Prayers need not to be eloquent or lengthy. Do not censor your prayer when talking to God. The simple "thanks" to God when you receive a good news and that simple plea when you are in need, God appreciates and hears it. Just let the words come out. Say what you want to say and God hears everything.

When something reminds you of God's grace and love, pray

Paul stated in 1st Thessalonians to "pray without ceasing." Is it impossible? It is not. Like what was mentioned above, we tend to pray in different situation. May it big or small event, we acknowledge God and His love. When we get up, we pray. When we see good news on TV whether it is related to us or not, we say "thank you." These small acts are our appreciation to God's grace and love.

Moreover, prayer should be your honest conversation to God. Whether it is for asking forgiveness or just simply thanking Him. It is our own medium in connecting with our Father in Heaven.
