Do we get peace even when in a bad situation?

You maybe having a financial crisis or worst, diagnosed with a cancer. You maybe headed to a great crisis now but is there a way we can be peaceful? Coming out from a crisis is great. We can see what has God was up to.

To be in peace, God teaches us in Philippians 4:4-9. Read these 3 simple steps:

Focus on God instead of your problems.

Easier said than done but according to Paul in Philippians 4:4, "Rejoice in the Lord always. Again, I will say rejoice." He is not saying we need to be happy about our difficulty and rejoice about it. Instead, acknowledge God's control over our lives because of these bad situations. Remember that God only allows good things in our lives (Romans 8:28).

Engage in Serving Others

As you rejoice in the Lord, focus on serving others instead of concentrating on your problems. Let your kindness be known to others (Philippians 4:5). When we focus on other people, we tend to forget being down and spiraling down into despair and frustrations. More than that, we also cause joy in serving and completing other people's goals.

Give your trouble to God through prayers.

In Philippians 4:6, it says that:"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." God wants us to say everything to Him and have a conversation with Him. We need to pray and leave our burdens to God. God's peace will guard our hearts and minds (Philippians 4:7).

Once again, it is easier said than done but we need to fight what we put into our minds and focus instead on what God can do for us and trust with all our hearts.
