Feeling like a failure is unpleasant and complex. When a wife makes her husband feel like a failure, whether intentional or not, is a different story. Being a failure and feeling like a failure could last long, which can affect a person as he considers this as his tag, label or identity.

Here are three ways that a woman lets her husband feel like a failure:

She is not satisfied with the family income.

A woman feels insecure by saying and complaining to his husband about what things they are missing because of their income. With this, the husband feels responsible for the dissatisfaction felt by his wife.

A wife should not count the money instead, she should count the ability of her husband to act as the best companion in prosperity or adversity. Moreover, she should count the needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19)

She will not let go of past failures.

Bringing up the past will do you no good. It is already enough that the husband carries the inadequacies of today, let along his wife will remind him of the failures that had happened in the past.

As a wife, a woman should champion her husband's future and forget those things in the past to reach forward to those ahead of them. (Philippians 3:13)

She sets crazy-high expectations.

A woman sets standards in every occasion or every single little thing from her husband and if he does not achieve it, the woman gets angry or sad over it. This will only make the husband feel guilty and a failure.

But the good news according to the Bible, no woman can tell her husband who he is as a man. She, as a wife, does not pronounce verdict on him. Only God is allowed to and can do that. When the husband feels anything but the leader, he must turn to God for validation, the One who "has crowned him with glory and honor" according to Psalm 8:5.
