Feeling beautiful can be complicated within marriage. At the surface, there is no woman who hated being called beautiful. However, beauty holds a deeper meaning in marriage, and when the husband fails to recognize and appreciate his wife's stunning characteristics, resentment and pain can start budding.
Before we enumerate the three things a man makes his wife feel ugly, it is important to know that a woman should, above all, understand that she is beautiful and enough in the eyes of God. Though, the wife may look to her husband for validation, she must be confident and let the King be enthralled by beauty, as per Psalm 45:11.
The husband withholds compliments.
Every woman longs to be appreciated and noticed. And when her own husband forgets and fails to do that, she then begins to doubt in herself and ask if something is wrong with her.
So, to avoid pain and resentment, once in a while, a husband must able to give brief notice or compliments her wife. When she cooks, tell her the dish is delicious. When she teaches your son in his assignment, tell her she is a great and kind mother.
Never forget that when a woman's heart is weighed down, a kind word can cheer her up. (Proverbs 12:25)
The husband does not keep any pictures of his wife.
This can be frustrating and depressing to any woman. A wife may think that she is not enough and that she is not worthy to be publicly announced by her husband as his wife.
So, if a man is serious to affirm his wife 24/7, he needs to publicly declare her praise (Proverbs 31:31. One way of praising her is to let the public recognize that in fact, she is your wife. Even a wallpaper of her or just a picture of her on your gallery means so much to her.
He never surprises her with gifts or sweet actions.
Every woman's weakness is surprise. Have you not heard it? A wife can question your love to her when she does not receive any gifts or surprise. Making your wife feel important will also one of the things which keeps the marriage stronger.
Do not forget that these actions may be little but it gives great impact to your wife and your marriage.
