On August 3, 2018, the Commission on China's Christian Theological Education held a meeting in Qingdao, Shandong. Eleven commission's members and leading workers of CCC&TSPM, a former high official, and a previous researcher attended it.

Rev. Kan Baoping, vice-president and general secretary of CCC, addressed that the meeting was the last one for the current session. He pointed out that the common shortages in China's theological education were inadequate faculty, low-level teaching standards and teaching management.

The participants discussed how to carry out the guiding principles from the 19th CPC National Congress, the Outline of the Five-year Plan (2018-2022) for Promoting Sinicization of Christianity, and the curriculum setting.

After the meeting, the members went to investigate Shandong Theological Seminary.
