All Church-activities in Shenzhen Canceled due to Typhoon Nida

As Typhoon swept across southern China, with the city of Shenzhen issuing its first-ever read storm alert, all of the church activities in Shenzhen are forced to stop.

As China's State Oceanic Administrations (SOA) on Monday issued the read alert for ocean waves and storm tides as Typhoon Nida approaches the mainland, Nida landed Shenzhen on Tuesday Morning.

The southern cities of shenzhen is also on red alert, with transport, industry and public services largely grinding to a halt.

The Shenchen CCCTSPM was reminded by Shenzhen Government that all citizens have been advised to stay at safety places and stockpile food and essential, thus the shenzhen CCCTSPM announced to cancel all the church-activities of all the churches.

From Monday night to Tuesday, sea waves as high as 11 meters are expected in the northern South China Sea, while the southern Taiwan Strait will witness waves as high as seven meters.

The SOA also issued a red alert storm tides and estimated that the sea level off the Pearl River estuary will rise up to 220 cm.
