Upon the arrival of 2016 Religious Charity Week, the local CCC of Ürümqi organized a volunteer medical team to provide a free clinic to 87 minority ethnic garbage workers on September 5, 2016 in Xinjiang.

Led by a pastor, the fifteen medical staff carried on medical examinations, including blood glucose and pressure measurement, B-scan and electrocardiogram. The trash workers also received expert consultation. The team hopes to share the love of Christ with more communities.

Nethersole Foundation, accompanied by a co-worker of the social service department of the national CCC&TSPM and local officials visited the activity. Just a day before, the foundation visits some church ministries in Ürümqi, including Amity elderly apartments.

Founded in 1997, the foundation aims at spreading the knowledge of Christ and the spirit of sharing by subsidizing projects or services in broad areas of evangelism, medical and health, education, and social service in Hong Kong and mainland China. It has helped improve the living conditions of the apartments in the city and perfected the fire services.
