Reports claimed that the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region will be using drones in order to patrol and secure the borders.

It can be noted that China's main battleground is Xinjiang. It is its focal point in fighting against terrorism from outside countries like Pakistan, Afghanistan and Russia.

According to a report, aside from the drones, barbed wires and surveillance cameras will be installed on the 5,600 kilometers border.

"Xinjiang will deploy drones, set up barbed wire and install surveillance cameras along the border to prevent people crossing the border illegally," Jerla Isamudin, deputy chairman of the region, said in an interview, adding that Xinjiang needs to improve their cooperation in communication terrorism-related information within the near countries.

According to a report, the government of China believe that the entry of religious extremism from foreign countries causes disruptive attacks  in Xinjiang and other parts of the country.

Xinjiang, which is a home to more than 10 million Uyghur Muslims has been restive for few years now after the protests of the Uyghur community on the settlements of Hans. The country has also joint with Pakistan Army and launched a Quadrilateral Cooperation and Coordination Mechanism in Counter Terrorism with Afghanistan-China-Pakistan-Tajikistan Armed Forces in order to secure the Xinjiang borders.

It can be recalled that Shohrat Zakir said in January that Xinjiang would be imposing tighter entrance and exit measures this year.

Meanwhile, Nayim Yassen, the director of Xinjiang People's Congress Standing Committee stated that they will be identifying the border control and security measures. They will also give out suggestions for possible improvements within this year.
