On Friday, the Chinese Ministry of Education released a three 10-point codes of conduct for teachers from all levels of education throughout the country.
The rules were identified accordingly based on the institution where the teachers work, namely kindergartens, primary/secondary schools, and higher education institutions.
Under the new rules, kindergarten teachers cannot teach primary school subjects to preschool children, and forbid teachers of primary or secondary schools to provide paid tutoring services.
For college and university teachers, the rules emphasize academic integrity and strictly prohibit plagiarism.
The ministry also called for zero tolerance for any violation committed by the teachers. These violators should have their licenses revoked and blacklisted if their violation is proven.
