After the COVID-19 pandemic was brought under control in recent months, some churches in China reopened while following prevention regulations. Many churches in northern China remain closed because of the recent Beijing COVID-19 cluster, but churches in other areas are not affected. Only Sunday services are available as weekly gatherings are still suspended. Before entering churches, believers have to have their temperature taken, wear facial masks, and have their health code scanned for tracing. Normally they sit one meter apart from each other in the main sanctuary. Many have expressed gratitude and joy, but there are still challenges. For instance, church attendance is low. As time goes on, more churches will resume services.
