On the morning of Dec 14, religious groups around China held the fourth joint conference in Beijing and issued a document on Anti-Heresy Work.

Said groups included the Buddhist Association of China, Chinese Taoist Association, Chinese Islamic Association, the Chinese Catholic Patriotic Association and Bishops Conference of the Catholic Church of China, the Three-Self Patriotic Movement Committee of the Protestant Churches of China and China Christian Council, Young Men's Christian Association, and Young Women's Christian Association.

According to the official WeChat of the State Bureau of Religious Affairs, one of the themes of the conference was anti-heresy. The document proposed that the religious circle enhance its self-defense ability, assist the identification of heresies, participate in dissemination and educational activities, and work with relevant governmental departments and social organizations to transform people involved in heresies, all while consciously resisting heresies from foreign communications.
