God loves the world. Each of us is chosen by God, and we all have different experiences and stories behind our faith in God. Here are 40 stories and experiences behind people's faiths that I have heard and seen. Maybe the story behind your faith might be here.

While part 1 contains the stories of six Christians, part 2 concerns five believers who encountered God in their hard times, part 3 tells four stories of people who believed in the Lord as a result of love and family influence, part 4 recounts five testimonies of ordinary people, part 5 shares five testimonies, the sixth episode tells the life transformation of six Christians and their persistence on faith or ministry.

28. In order to change her bad temper, she turned to Christ.

Prior to becoming a Christian, a deaconess had a bad temper and a henpecked husband. Over time, those around her, including family members, suggested that she change her personality.

One of her close classmates was a Christian, who taught her about Christianity through their interactions. She sought to change her bad temper by believing in the Lord and asked her classmates for a Bible to read at home.

Upon reading the Bible, she came across Ephesians 4:2, which states, "Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love." This scripture made her feel indebted as a woman and wife, reflecting on her previous "vigorousness" and "fierceness".

Eventually, she began attending church services with her classmate every Sunday and accepting the biblical teachings to become a Christian.

She reviewed herself according to the Lord's teachings and experienced a significant change in her character, becoming milder. Her transformation amazed her husband, family members, and those around her.

After she converted to the Lord, she took her husband to worship God in the church, and he also became a deacon.

29. An old servant dedicated his life to the Lord.

The elder passed away due to COVID-19 last year at over 90 years old. He followed in the footsteps of his father, who was a pastor and donated the old church belonging to his family in his hometown to the church for free for the reconstruction. For over 40 years, he served the Lord and the church selflessly.

In his later years, although he could no longer preach at the altar, he also attended church events and ministries, taught believers about faith, and resolved doubts.

Despite his age, he learned how to use a computer when he was 80 years old and used it to document the faith deeds and testimonies of many pastors and believers in Chinese churches and local churches, leaving a valuable legacy of words and pictures for the Christian faith.

30. An old male believer faced intimidation but refused to give up his faith.

The old man has been a devout believer for numerous years and maintains copies of the Bible and spiritual books in multiple locations throughout his home. Daily, he dedicates time to reading the Bible, prayer, praise, and recording devotional notes; he also attends church gatherings and makes offerings regularly.

However, his faith was put to the test.

During his hospitalization due to illness, a family member who believed in a "big fairy" paid him a visit and derided his belief in the Lord. The relative claimed that he would still be alive if he didn't subscribe to the belief in the Lord. These threats and actions instilled fear in the old man's wife, who implored him to abandon his faith.

Despite the intimidation, the elderly believer remained unwavering in his faith, declaring that he would never renounce it, even if his life was at stake. He believed that only through faith in Christ could the mentally and physically ailing be healed.

Eventually, the believer recuperated from his illness and was discharged from the hospital. In contrast, his relative suffered a fall during a winter trip, which resulted in a fracture and left him wheelchair-bound for the rest of his life.

31. A pastor was taunted by college classmates as a "psycho".

During the zenith of his life, a senior pastor was highly regarded and frequently requested to deliver sermons at local churches. Following the completion of his undergraduate studies, he opted to pursue theology, subsequently being baptized.

One of his close friends and classmates jokingly questioned his decision, stating, "Are you insane for choosing theology instead of obtaining employment post-college?" His professor also expressed concern, believing that he was a talented student who could have pursued a lucrative career after graduation, yet he persisted with his theological studies.

Following the acquisition of his master's degree from China's most esteemed seminary, he was offered a teaching position owing to his excellent grades. However, two years later, he made an unanticipated decision to resign from his teaching role and return to his hometown to serve as a grassroots church pastor.

Initially, churches were skeptical of him. However, he preached tirelessly across several churches, never once expressing regret or complaint. Ultimately, through his actions and words, he earned the admiration of believers, becoming a senior pastor and the vice president of the local Christian Council.

32. A female believer touched the church.

At her memorial service, many pastors and believers deeply mourned a female Christian who passed away at over 90 years old and had a profound impact on the church through her actions.

At the age of 12, she became a believer along with her mother at Ningbo Centennial Church in Zhejiang. Later, at the age of 19, she got married in a mountainous area and gave birth to four daughters, without having any sons. She meditated on Hannah's story and prayed earnestly every day for a son.

Soon after, she bore a son. When he was three years old, she took him to visit some church members, and at the fork of the road, her son suddenly fell into a ravine on the side of the road. Luckily, a tea tree on the hillside stopped him from sustaining serious injuries.

When she was 49 years old, her husband passed away suddenly, causing her great shock and anguish. She enjoyed singing hymns, and her children were very obedient and respectful, providing her with comfort.

Before her passing, some of her children and grandchildren worked in first-tier cities in China, while some worked abroad, all being Christians.

33. A female Christian donated her homestead to the church.

The female Christian believer lived alone in a mountain village, as her children resided elsewhere. The local church was composed of three tile-roofed houses originally constructed by a production team. Due to years of neglect, the church leaked during the summer and allowed the wind to enter during the winter. As a result of its poor condition, the congregation began discussing ways to build a new church.

At a time when no one could identify a suitable location to build a new church, the woman decided to donate her intended house site, a valuable property for an ordinary farmer in the countryside, to the church. With the consent of her children, she donated the family homestead to the church, which meant that she could no longer reside in a new house.

Exactly when no one could identify an appropriate location to erect a new church, she chose to donate her intended house site, which was an essential property for an ordinary farmer in the countryside. With the consent of her children, she presented the family homestead to the church, which implied that she could no longer reside in a new house.

In addition, she generously contributed her funds and building materials, originally meant to construct her new home, to the church. Once the new church was built, she willingly ensured its proper care and maintenance.
