Last week more than 900 Christians joined in the World Day of Prayer services in the churches of Kunshan, Jiangsu.

This year's program for the World Day of Prayer 2018 fell on the first Friday of March and was written by the initiative's committee of Suriname and themed "All God's creation is very good".

On March 2, 2018, two sisters and a female pastor spoke at the service hosted at Dianshan Lake Church, on behalf of the Suriname sisters, about their beautiful country and life stories.

"Humans corrupted the world God created after having sinned out of evil desires and greed. This polluted the air, water, and seas, and led to heavy lumbering and excessive consumption. The earth is shedding tears and God is crying. " The three sisters said in a reflection in the service.

Rev. Yu exhorted the congregation that God still reigns in the universe and over human beings through His creation and salvation. We should love the wonderful world and perform our duties to work and take care of it. She encouraged them to start with little and be good and faithful stewards.

The participants prayed for people who were weak, oppressed, sick, sad or dismayed and nature. The service ended with the commission service and benediction.

The "Women's World Day of Prayer" first started from a prayer service jointly organized by Christian women from Canada and the USA which aims to care for women and children. Christian women worldwide started to join the service to pray for World Peace since 1945. The World Day of Prayer International Committee was founded in 1964.
