Last week a church in Chengdu, Sichuan suspended its on-site Sunday service due to recently transmitted infections.

As of Friday, ten positive COVID-19 cases had been found in Pidu District, which has been designated a medium-risk area.

Affected by the situation, Gan’en Church in Gaopeng Avenue, Gaoxin District announced last Friday that the Sunday service held on December 13 would be changed into a live broadcast from 9-10 am. Reopened on July 26 since the closure in early 2020, the church also conducts an in-person catechism class, but the class is turned into on-site hosted on Sunday afternoons.

The arrangement of the following Sunday service will remain undecided until further notice.
