Fifty volunteer lay pastors completed a half year volunteer training course.

The completion ceremony of the 2020 Semi-Annual volunteer training course was held at Zhongnan Theological Seminary, with 150 teachers and students in attendance on January 8, according to Hubei CC&TSPM(Christian Council & Three-Self Patriotic Movement).

To begin the ceremony, Rev. Zhang Shuilian gave a sermon with the title, Remember Who You Are, to encourage the trainers to learn from Joseph’s humility and patience and keep the mission in mind to fulfill God's calling.

Afterward, a graduation ceremony was held. Rev. Wu Ruifang, the headteacher of the training class, announced the graduation list. Pastor Zhu Zhiguo, chairman of the Hubei CC&TSPM and president of the Zhongnan Theological Seminary, awarded the learners certificates of completion and presented graduation books. He also encouraged them to have a grateful and renewed heart and assist pastors in leading and managing the churches with humility.

In addition to singing hymns, the students made donations to their alma mater, presenting a traditional Chinese landscape painting.

The Hubei CC&TSPM stated that they would continue to use the seminary education platform to improve the education and training of volunteer lay pastors, so as to standardize grassroots-level ministry and lead the believers to live a better faith life.
