COVID-19 prevention and control personnel in Shanxi and Shaanxi were visited by the local CC&TSPMs recently.

At the beginning of 2022, staff from the Datong CC&TSPM in Shanxi drove to visit personnel working in checkpoints at the highway in Datong City, bringing food supplies, according to the Shanxi CC&TSPM.

Due to a spike of coronavirus cases in Xi’an City since December 9 last year, the pandemic prevention and control situation in Yan’an, Shaanxi, was grim. Following the stay-at-home orders, Elder Liu Yufang, vice chairman of the Baota District CC&TSPM in Yan’an, entrusted staff of Linzhen Church in the Baota District to pay a visit to COVID-19 workers in Linzhen government and police station, and front-line pandemic key-workers, instead of visiting them in person. They presented them with rice, noodles, cooking oil, milk, beverages and other food worth 2,000 yuan, Shaanxi CC&TSPM reported.

With other staff, Rev. Wang Qiong, president and chairman of Qishan County CC&TSPM in Baoji City, Shaanxi Province, came to visit workers on duty for pandemic prevention in churches and meeting points, sending them milk, instant noodles, and bread. They also gave rice, cooking oil, and money to the elderly clergy, heads of churches, needy, and severely ill believers, said Shaanxi CC&TSPM.
