Shanxi CC&TSPM sent financial funds to Shanxi students studying in theological seminaries in other provinces.

Fifty-four Shanxi students in Nanjing Union Theological Seminary in Jiangsu, Yanjing Theological Seminary in Beijing, and East China Seminary in Shanghai (Bachelor of Sacred Music), received New Year’s blessings and funds from Shanxi Special Committee on Theological Education during last year Christmas, according to Shanxi TSPM.

Rev. Zhang Enlai, the president of Shanxi CC and director of the special committee, pointed out that to promote the development of theological education, Shanxi CC&TSPM had sent students to these seminaries since 2008 with contributions supporting the seminaries on Theological Education Sundays. He said they had spent more than 100,000 yuan to help the theological students and hold fellowship activities, with the help of Taiyuan CC&TPSM and Qiaotou Street Church in Taiyuan.

He expressed his hope that these students would strengthen their faith, build their spiritual lives and contribute to the construction of Shanxi churches after they finished their studies and returned to their hometown.
