As the Chinese New Year was approaching, a Shanxi church hosted a series of online services themed on the Spring Festival, with more than 1,000 believers attending each service.

On January 27, the 25th day of the twelfth lunar month, Pastor Guo Lingquan from Yaodu District Church in Linfen City gave a virtual speech named "Funny Spring Festival", sharing about the history, customs of the festival, the legend about the Chinese new year, and the similarities and differences between the Spring Festival and Passover. Believers learned about the traditional culture of the grandest festival.

On January 30, Sunday, Pastor Li Xiuping preached a sermon titled "Blessings From The Beginning to The End of The Year" which was broadcast live, citing Deuteronomy 11:11-12 and Psalm 65.

On February 1, the day of the Spring Festival, Rev. Geng Fuqin gave a sermon virtually with the title of "How Christians Celebrate the Spring Festival", exhorting believers to fear the true God, rely on His grace, and obey His commands to receive His favor and blessings.

Two days later, based on Romans 12:13 and Hebrews 13:2, Rev. Huang Hailin shared a live stream sermon named "Talk About Christian Hospitality in Spring Festival", encouraging church members to entertain every "angel" in their lives.

It is reported that all pastors will receive online systematic training from February 7 to 12.
