A church in China’s southeastern coastal Guangdong Province will launch a catechism class lasting two months.
On September 3, Guangzhou Shamian Church released a notice on its official WeChat account, inviting catechumens and Christians who want to consolidate their faith to participate in the courses offered from September 11 to November 7.
Taught by the pastor of the church, the course includes the core elements of the Christian faith, the devotional life of Christian, and basic theology, as well as the salvation of Jesus Christ, the origin, characteristics, content, and function of the Bible, the necessity of Christian sacraments and baptism. Future classes will be held every Sunday evening from September 11 to November 7 (suspended once on October 2).
