100 Christian Clergy in Urumqi Meet Together

On April 30, 2019, more than 100 clergy from 22 registered churches in Urumqi, Xinjiang province met in a local Ergong Church. 

Conducted by the Urumqi Christian Council, the meeting included a sermon delivered by Rev. Zhang Shuzhi and the reading of the initiative of the patriotism study activities, according to the council. 

Brother Qiao Mu, head deacon of the Ergong Church, shared about the church's ministries in recent years and how the deacons experienced God's grace in gaining the approval for construction of the new church that was started last May. 

Deacons from other churches also talked about security requirements faced by local churches and the demolition and relocation issues of chapels. 

Rev. Fan Chenguang said that Mingde Church suspended its services and gatherings from April 30 due to urban construction. During the period, the church is doing internal renovations and replacing pipes and fire fighting equipment. 

After the meeting, Rev. Zhang Shuzhi led pastors, elders, and co-workers to visit the construction site of Ergong Church.
