Anhui Gathering Point Urges Donations for Building Church
By Yi Yang, July 19, 2019 09:07 AM
Recently a Christian gathering point urged donations for its church construction plan.
The prayer request letter issued by Huashan Gathering Point in Chenyao Town, Tongling, Anhui, says that built in the 1980s, the old chapel has become dilapidated due to decades' of weathering. Moreover, it is very inconvenient for the congregation to gather in the chapel faraway from the believers' residential area.
It adds that this year a sister dedicated her land to the church and the local authority approved the construction project.
However, the place of assembly only raised 60,000 yuan in funding because the majority of the over 60 members are elderly, far less than the target budget of 200,000 yuan.
