According to the WeChat account ''Shanghai Christianity", a 15-person delegation of Korean officials paid a visit to Shanghai's Moore Memorial Church on March 1, 2019.

The visiting delegation included Lee Taeho, second Korean vice-minister of foreign affairs. He was very interested in the Chinese painting entitled, "The Prodigal Son".

Rev. Jiang Qianli, the church's senior pastor and vice-chairman of the Shanghai Three-Self Patriotic Movement (TSPM), introduced the history, architectural style, worship service schedule, weekly meetings, and ministry groups of the church to the visitors.

The Mu En Church or the Moore Memorial Church was established by American missionaries in 1887 with a large endowment from Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Royster Moore of Kansas City, triggering the Church to be renamed in 1900 as Moore Memorial Church. In 1931, the Church was expanded to accommodate 1,000 or more parishioners. Slowly, the Church managed to build its local membership in thousands which was clearly seen when the church was reopened in 1979 after the Cultural Revolution.
