G.E.M's popularity is undeniably on the rise as she takes her act in United States and she is among the main leads of the upcoming movie "Charm" alongside Ashley Tisdale and Avril Lavigne.
In an interview by Broadly, G.E.M shared how she felt working with the Hollywood stars.
"It's very surreal to work with Ashley Tisdale and Avril Lavigne", the 24-year-old singer blurt out.
Furthermore, G.E.M shared different aspects of being a singer. She revealed that she was just 4 years old when she did her first piano song and did not even get a formal training for her voice not until she made contracts for music company.
She also revealed that her curiosity about the piano made her love to play it.
Beyoncé, Christian Aguilera, Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston were those artist which has influenced her. "They are my inspiration during my teenage years," G.E.M. shared.
"Process is simple; I just sit in front of my piano and sing because sometimes when you get emotional it comes natural," G.E.M shared on what process on writing her songs.
When she was asked what makes her stand out among any other famous singers, she said "You have everyone but you don't have gem."
Gloria Tang Tsz-kei or widely known as G.E.M is one of the biggest names in China's pop industry. She is the face of Maybelline and Apple Music in China and has played for more than 30,000 people in Beijing in just one night.
For the past year, G.E.M. has been very busy bringing her act to United States. She has already attended New York Fashion Week, played at the Forum in Los Angles and recorded different new music videos across Los Angles, California.
