Move aside Pikachu, another Pokemon is in the hot seat.
A ghost type Pokemon from the Pokemon Sun and Moon franchise looks awfully familiar to users and its no wonder because its dressed like Pikachu. Its name is Mimicyu. For years, Game Freak has been trying to create a new Pokemon that would go alongside Pikachu as the game's main mascots. Every new series of the game resulted to various Pikachu clones, but nothing went as popular as the adorable electric mouse everyone loves.
However, with Mimicyu, Game Freak is utilizing Pikachu's popularity and looking at new ways on how they can bolster that concept.
The world immediately loved Mimicyu since it was introduced in the magazine CoroCoro and many online artworks have been done for this character. It is said that Mimicyu dresses up like Pikachu so it can also feel the same love Pikachu receives from people.
Mimicyu has yet to make an appearance in the Western market, but it is likely to steal gamer's hearts once the game series it is included is released.
