Shanghai Christian Council Ordains Pastors and Elders

On Dec 29, 2016, Shanghai Moore Memorial Church in Huangpu District observed the grand ordination ceremony for pastors by Shanghai Christian Council. Nearly 800 brothers and sisters from churches in Shanghai witnessed the holy event.
The ordination ceremony was presided over by Pastor Xie Bingguo, chairman of the city's Christian council. He put stole on the four newly anointed pastors who were fellow workers and gave them Bibles.
The next day, the council hosted the ordination ceremony for elders in Jiexin Church in Pudong New Area. Over 1,000 brothers and sisters attended the ceremony. There were eight fellow workers from Huangpu Area, Qingpu Area, and Pudong New Area anointed as elders. The ordination ceremony for elders was also presided over by Pastor Xie Bingguo.
