On the morning of Jan 7, 2017, Hujiacun Church in Zhongling Village, Jinxian County, Nanchang, Jiangxi, hosted its dedication ceremony. Pastor Yao Baoshan, Chairman of the city's TSPM, commented that "it was the simplest, toughest, and yet the best ceremony he has ever seen." More than 500 believers in the county attended the ceremony.
Hujia Village is located in the junction of Jinxian County, Yugan County, and Dongxiang County. "It is a poverty-stricken village with a winding narrow path of dirt. People live tough lives there. With young believers going to the city to work, the congregation is all elderly believers. It took many years to build the holy temple with donations of some thousands yuan. They had money for only one story, and the inside is just cement since they lacked funds for decorations."
