Depression could be an easy word to say and discuss but no one really understands someone's struggles. Being depressed may lead to serious illness or worst; death.

Discover that God provides us with guidelines and encouragement through the Scriptures. With these three Bible verses about depression, you can find peace and joy in the midst of overwhelming negative emotions.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things. (Philippians 4:8)

1.    This Bible verse encourage us to weigh more on thinking what is good and pure. Instead of thinking about the bad things going on in our lives, God tells us to count the good things and blessings we have.

The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. (Deuteronomy 31:8)

2.    When we think that the world and the people we love leave us behind, God never does that. He will never forget or even forsake anyone from us. We must always believe that God is within us. We can feel His presence through the good people around us, even if they are strangers.

The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. (Psalm 34:17)

3.    And when we think that our problems have no end, God frees us from all of these. As a human, problems are considered as things which gives spice to our lives. This may be true as we cannot appreciate happiness without sadness. We cannot appreciate God as well if we all live in a happy life.
