In a rural village in Northwest China where there is active Christian persecution, a famous shaman who openly consults demons, gets born again.

Ting, a Chinese shaman who has attracted thousands with her 'divine counsel,' was reported by Open Doors USA, a persecution watchdog group, to have become converted to Christianity after having a visitation from Jesus in a dream while she was on her deathbed.

Such visitations have been reported to have happened to people throughout the world, experiencing conversions that result from vivid dreams. Most of these stories originate in the Middle East where Muslims receive visitations from Jesus and get saved.

Ting's conversion begins after she gets gravely ill, so much so that she lost her ability to consult with demons in regards to the people's inquiries. Being in extreme pain and dying, Ting's only relief was sleep.

Ting descibes her dream as so:

"I was in the back seat of a taxi as my brother drove me towards an endless darkness. But then three men, who were wearing brilliant white robes, approached. But their light was so bright, I couldn't see their faces. They told me that I have to make a choice. And as they spoke, two other men wearing black robes invited me to follow them.

"I knew in my heart that one of the men wearing white was Jesus, so I followed him." When Ting woke up, she found herself completely healed. She then decided to become a follower of Jesus in real life.

Biblical support that God communicates with people through dreams:

In the book of Genesis, Joseph was called in to interpret the Pharaoh's dreams. He says in verse 25, "The dreams of Pharaoh are one; God has revealed to Pharaoh what he is about to do." And true enough, the interpretation came to pass.

Daniel chapter 2 tells about how King Nebuchadnezzar, the Babylonian ruler at the time, had very disturbing dreams that he couldn't sleep. So, he called for all the people in the kingdom who had any affiliation with dream interpretation, but none of them were able to satisfy the king. Then Daniel comes in and gives the king the meaning of the dreams. Daniel concludes his message to the king with these words from the 45th verse, "The great God was showing the king what will happen in the future. The dream is true, and its meaning is certain."

But what about Jesus himself?

Dreams are also called night visions in the Bible.

In Acts 18:9, the Apostle Paul receives instructions from the Lord Jesus himself.

Then the Lord said to Paul in a night vision, "Don't be afraid, but keep on speaking and don't be silent."
