BTOB's Yook Sungjae, a famous South Korean boyband member and actor is reportedly visiting Singapore on September 29 for ION's ION8ight Anniversary Fashion Concert.
On ION Orchard's Facebook, they posted a teaser claiming that a mystery guest will be attending the event and hinted that he is in fact someone famous in South Korea, adding that he will be serenading the audience of some songs.
Though, the ION Orchard never confirmed the appearance of Yook Sungjae, the sharp-eyed Melodies (the name of BTOB's fanclub) were fast to spot and complete the puzzle teased by the company and found out that it was none other than the 22-year-old singer and actor.
Yook Sungjae is a member of the boyband BTOB, along with Lee Minhyuk, Seo Eunkwang, Im Hyunsik, Lee Changsub, Jung Ilhoon and Peniel Shin. He starred in the hit Korean drama series titled "Goblin" along with Lee Dong Wook, Gong Yoo, Kim Go Eun and Yoo In Na.
He has been known to appear in a lot of variety shows. He was noted on his appearance on "We Got Married" alongside Red Velvet's Joy as his virtual wife. He also starred in several dramas like "The Heirs," "Reply 1994" and "Who are You School 2015."
Meanwhile, Yook Sungjae and Red Velvet's Joy got a mini reunion when the latter surprised him with a surprise message wherein she exposed that they are very close.
"When I didn't know what to do during my first [regular] variety show appearance, he told me, 'You don't have to try so hard to look good to everyone because you are someone who gives off a good feeling in your own way,'" Joy revealed. "I don't know why he tried so hard to seem older when we're only one year apart. I just accepted it as a cute action."
"While our fake marriage may have ended a while ago, I am a kind little sister who is always supporting you in my thoughts. Let's continue to stay close," Red Velvet's Joy said in the video.
