A statement given by YG Entertainment on August 18 informed the media and the fans that "It's true that Lee Sung Kyung and Nam Joo Hyuk have decided to break up." The label relayed that the two grew distant due to their busy schedules, and will remain close sunbae-hoobaes despite what has happened.
The confirmation shocked a lot of fans as their ship started to sink after just a few months of dating. The couple, Lee Sung Kyung and Nam Joo Hyuk have also worked previously in Korean dramas 'Cheese in the Trap' and 'Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo', the two had been friends for a while and after months of waiting, they confirmed to the public that they had become a couple in April 24th of this year.
With the announcement made final by YG Entertainment, fans from all over the world are expressing their sadness because of the sudden break-up of their favorite pair.
