The Siyang TSPM of Suqian, Jiangsu recently led the local congregation in a religious charity organized by the Siyang bureau of ethnic and religious affairs.

More than 2,000 yuan was raised in the Central Church of Xinyuan Township. The donations would be used to support financially disadvantaged students in their education.

Statistics in 2010 showed that there were Christianity, Buddhism, and Islam in the county. The number of religious believers reached about 90,000, accounting for 10% of the county's population. Two hundred religious staff worked in 220 religious venues. Among them, around 70,000 Christians gathered in 214 places for Christian activities, served by 186 clergies.
