Hollywood celebrity couple John Legend and Chrissy Teigen revealed that there was a time when they tried to end things and just separate.
John Legend shared about the details of their relationship story during his recent interview with The Guardian.
It can be recalled that Legend and Teigen met in 2007. Teigen was cast as the love interest of Legend's music video for the track, "Stereo."
"We spent the whole day dancing together, grinding together," he said. "And, uh, we made a music video."
According to the "All of me" singer, they are already together for more than ten years but they had admitted that the singer had attempted to break up with the model but this breakup only lasted for 30 minutes.
"I was really stressed and busy," he said. "I was just like: 'I'd just be happier single right now,' and she was like: 'No.'"
On Monday, September 5, Teigen tweeted "11 years later baby."
"It wasn't a typical breakup," Teigen added in her tweet. "He was on tour and his voice hurt and he was being a whiny face about everything and so yeah, I was like 'no.'"
The Christian couple married in 2013 and are now parents of a young daughter. Legend acknowledges his wife for helping him become a better version of himself.
"She pushes me to be funnier," he said. "Not because she's trying to, I think it's just being around her. And to be bolder."
