While "Wolf Warrior 2" is still climbing on the top of box office, another military-themed Chinese film is set to be released this month and it is expected to perform well.

"Sky Hunter" is directed by Li Chen. The movie tells "the story of a team of current Chinese Air Force pilots as they fight to protect national interests and regional peace." The film is also produced in collaboration with the People's Liberation Army Air Force. It is also considered as China's first aerial warfare movie.

The movie stars Li Chen, Fan Bingbing, Wang Qianyuan, Li Jiahang, Leon Lee, Guo Mingyu, Ye Liu, Wu Xiubo and Wang Xueqi.

"Working on 'Sky Hunter' has fulfilled a flying dream of mine. I am a military fan, and to me, the Air Force has always been a very mysterious but appealing component of the military. The freedom and elegance it exhibits as it flies in the sky are qualities that many young people yearn for," explained Li in a recent promotion of the film in Beijing.

"Sky Hunter" will be released on Chinese theatres on September 30.
