On September 9, 2017, a Christian medical team from Quanzhou, Fujian offered a whole-day free clinic in a local primary school.

The event was sponsored by the ethnic and religious affairs committee of the city's Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and the Quanzhou CCC&TSPM.

The volunteer team consisted of about 50 experienced doctors and carried out treatment and examinations for 553 and 274 patients, respectively. It saved over 30,000 yuan in medical fees. The clinic covered cardiology, neurology, traditional Chinese medicine, orthopaedics, traumatology, etc. Free check-ups and medicine were given, welcomed by the local government and people.
