We need to listen, especially when alarms start to sound in our heads. This is true when it concern potential marriage prospects. This radar mostly warns, "Be careful. Do not think you can fix him."

Just as Abraham wanted a good wife for his son, so is our Heavenly Father. He wants good spouses for His children. His warnings are there to protect us from marrying the wrong type of men.

Here are three types of men to avoid as your marriage prospects:

He has addictions.

According to Proverbs 25:28, the people who are emotionally and physically dependent on habits and substances endanger those people close to them. Addictions can invite mood swings, financial problems and harmful influences into your home.

He is an angry person.

Living with an angry person is like walking through a minefield. It feels like anytime, he will burst out and point the blame on things or even people surrounding him. Rage is not only the sign of anger. Those cutting comments and sarcastic jokes are enough to make you bad.

The Holy Bible warns us in Proverbs 22:24-25 "Do not make friends with a hot-tempered person, do not associate with one easily angered, or you may learn their ways and get yourself ensnared."

He is charming but lacks character.

Many women said that after dating, men stopped to woe them with gifts and attention. What happened? The Bible said that "Charm is deceptive." (Proverbs 31:30)

So, it is important to consider the character of the person we date and not just because of his looks. Notice how he treats waiters, co-workers and his parents. Remember that a man of noble character may be rare and hard to find but they are definitely worth the wait.
