On Monday, Jeremy Lin shared about a recent meeting on Weibo, a popular social media platform in China. He said, "Last weekend I shared our story with 'hiphopman' MC Jin and Pastor Francis. I was grateful for their support!"
Jin Au-Yeung, known professionally as MC Jin, is the first Asian American rapper to sign with a major record label. This summer he won love and respect from the public in Rap of China, a Chinese rap contest reality show.
One of Lin's fans commented that the Brooklyn Nets guard and the Chinese pioneer rapper were the pride of overseas Chinese. Another fan stated that Pastor Francis Chan is one of the most renowned pastors in the United States and an author of best-selling Christian books like Crazy Love: Overwhelmed by a Relentless God. Chan founded an American megachurch and left it after realizing the downsides of large churches. He started to explore a pattern of family churches.
Another comment said that the three Christians must have had good spiritual communication.
