The pastoral staff of the church in Wafangdian, Liaoning, received an eight-person delegation from Shenyang Wanfang Church for the Deaf and met six representatives of the city's deaf Christians on September 21, 2017. They agreed to found a new deaf fellowship.
The new fellowship will gather every Thursday afternoon and the first gathering is scheduled for October 12.
Rev. Ming Dasheng from the Wanfang Church has served deaf Christians for over twenty years. His visit was to help the church in Wafangdian establish the new fellowship and share experiences in pastoring the deaf.
He said that seeing the growth of the deaf Christians' lives afforded him great satisfaction, although there were many difficulties and challenges in the ministry. He is committed to promoting ministries for deaf Christians in churches across China.
