The official members of the Flower 4 or F4 for the 2018 remake of the hit Taiwanese drama "Meteor Garden" has finally been revealed.
The new F4 for the new adaptation to be produced by Taiwanese producer Angie Cai include Chinese actor Wu Xi Zhe (22), Taiwanese actor Kuan Hong (22), Chinese actor Dylan Wang (19) and Chinese actor Liang Jing Kang (23). The photos of the new F4 graced the latest photos of Bazaar Taiwan on Monday. However, the details as to who will be playing as who in F4 has yet to be revealed.
The newest installment is said to be more fuller and flashier according to Angie Cai when the reboot to the iconic series was announced in April. It would also stick closer to the storyline in the manga.
The remake is reportedly going to have a budget of over 720 million New Taiwan Dollars ($23.74 million) and the series would be larger than the original.
Meteor Garden is the 2011 Taiwanese live-action interpretation of the Japanese anime 'Hana Yori Dango' which was released in 1996. In the original Taiwanese series, F4 were played by Jerry Yan, Vic Zhou, Ken Chou and Vanness Wu and its success helped build their careers and names as they became household names in Asia in 2011.
Aside from the Taiwanese remake, 'Hana Yori Dango' also gotten other versions which includes the 2005 Japanese version featuring Jun Matsumoto, Shun Oguri, Shota Matsuda and Tsuyoshi Abe as the members of F4 and the 2009 Korean version featuring Lee Min Ho, Kim Jung Hyun, Kim Bum and Kim Jun playing the foursome.
