No matter what the circumstances, Christians should focus on God and meditate on His grace and providence through the Bible. Psalm 13:3 claims, "Look on me and answer, Lord my God.Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death."

Turn your eyes upon God in the morning as the sun rises.

Psalm 143:8 Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you.

Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.

Luke 1:78 Because of the tender mercy of our God, by which the rising sun will come to us from heaven.

Psalm 88:13 But I cry to you for help, Lord; in the morning my prayer comes before you.

Turn your eyes upon God in the evening with the sunset.

Psalm 113:3 From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the Lord is to be praised.

Psalm 141:2 May my prayer be set before you like incense; may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice.

Numbers 6:26 "The Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace."'

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Genesis 50:25 And Joseph made the Israelites swear an oath and said, "God will surely come to your aid."

Turn your eyes upon God when encountering temptation.

1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

Joshua 10:14  There has never been a day like it before or since, a day when the Lord listened to a human being. Surely the Lord was fighting for Israel!

Turn your eyes upon God when you get praise.

Joshua 7:19 Then Joshua said to Achan, "My son, give glory to the Lord, the God of Israel, and honor him. Tell me what you have done; do not hide it from me."

1 Thessalonians 2:4 On the contrary, we speak as those approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel. We are not trying to please people but God, who tests our hearts.

Turn your eyes upon God when you are attacked and slandered.

Psalm 18:18 They confronted me in the day of my disaster, but the Lord was my support.

Isaiah 51:7 "Hear me, you who know what is right,
    you people who have taken my instruction to heart:
Do not fear the reproach of mere mortals or be terrified by their insults."

Turn your eyes upon God when you have conflict with other Christians. 

Matthew 6:14-15  For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

John 13:34 "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another."

Turn your eyes upon God when you are eager for help.

Psalm 20:7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.

Job 4:6 Should not your piety be your confidence and your blameless ways your hope?

Zechariah 4:6 So he said to me, "This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: 'Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,' says the Lord Almighty.

Turn your eyes upon God when you are tempted by money and fame. 

Psalm 39:6"Surely everyone goes around like a mere phantom;  
 in vain they rush about, heaping up wealth without knowing whose it will finally be."

Matthew 6:20-21 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Turn your eyes upon God when you are enticed by bad people.

Proverbs 1:10 My son, if sinful men entice you, do not give in to them.

Psalm 39:1 I said, "I will watch my ways and keep my tongue from sin;
I will put a muzzle on my mouth while in the presence of the wicked."

Matthew 11:29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

Proverbs 15:29 The Lord is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous.

Psalm 27:7 Hear my voice when I call, Lord; be merciful to me and answer me.

John 15:15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.

Turn your eyes upon God when your love grows cold.

James 2:8 If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, "Love your neighbor as yourself,"you are doing right.

1 John 4:7 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.

Turn your eyes upon God when you live in happiness.

Psalm 50:14 "Sacrifice thank offerings to God, fulfill your vows to the Most High."

Psalm 73:26 My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

Turn your eyes upon God when you are about to leave the world.

1 Kings 2:2 "I am about to go the way of all the earth," he said. "So be strong, act like a man."
