EXO's Lay to Star in a Historical Chinese Drama

EXO's Lay will be starring in a new historical drama in China alongside Chinese actress Tang Wei.
The announcement was made on December 28 when the staff of 'Empress of the Ming' revealed that Lay will be playing Empress Sun Rouwei's son Zhu Qizhen. Tang Wei will be the Empress and many are saying they are excited to see how the mother-son relationship between the two stars would go.
Despite being featured in other dramas, this will be Lay's first project in a historical drama.
'Empress of the Ming' is expected to have 60 episodes and to air in 2019.
