East China Theological Seminary Holds Discussion Forum on "Sinification of Christianity and Theological Education"

On December 20, 2019, a seminar on the "Sinification of Christianity and Theological Education" was held at the East China Theological Seminary, Shanghai. There were a total of 48 participants including the seminary's instructors and the forum received 24 papers.

According to the WeChat account of "Shanghai Chrisitanity", the forum was divided into four sessions, two sessions in the morning and two in the afternoon.  A total of 20 scholars, chief ministers, and teachers presented special lectures, focusing on areas such as the relationship between the sinification of Christianity and theological education; how to move forward on the sinification of Christianity; how to cultivate theological education talent; how to develop Chinese theology based on traditional culture; how to construct the relationship between Chinese Christianity and local culture; how to explore the sociological dimension and ethical dimension of Chinese theology; as well as other.

Among them, seven full-time instructors at the East China Theological Seminary shared their thinking and practice around the precursors of the sinification of Christianity, combined with the courses they taught, and the development of the school library.
