The Amity Foundation Wins Three Year-End Awards for 2015

At the end of January,2016, the Amity Foundation counted three year-end awards granted by the society, feeling grateful for winning these bonuses by the Chinese Spring Festival.

1. The Amity Foundation Gets Selected into the Ten Hotspots of Domestic Religions

"Over the three decades, the Amity Foundation has continuous devotion to donating for education, health care, community development and environmental protection and disaster relief. It wins the recognition of the society by standardized, professional social service, becoming one of the most influential domestic NGOs. It provides a new form for Chinese Christians to take part in social service and established an example that Christianity adapts to socialist society, playing its positive role in constructing the harmonious society." 2. Qiu Zhonghui, the Secretary, honored as "100 Influential Figures in 2015 China Philanthropy"

On January 26, Qiu Zhonghui, the vice president, secretary of the Amity was selected as one of "100 Influential Figures in 2015 China Philanthropy" by China Philanthropy Times. Besides, Winners on the list are Bill Gates, Chen Yidan, the founder and honorary director of Tecent Foundation, Guan Jianhua, the secretary of China Soong Ching Ling Foundation and Jin Jinping, the head of the Center for NPOs law of Peking University. Comment says the Amity has opened a new way for Christians to participate in social service and formed a multiple open, vivid Amity "philanthropy zone", making contributions to China's social development and opening up. 

3. The Project "Papa & Mama's" honored as "the Most Influential Charity Programs of Jiangsu Charity Award

On January 27, the third "Jiangsu Charity Award" honored the Amity project "Papa & Mama's---Plan to care " as "the Most Influential Charity Program". Zhu Chaoyu, the head of its social service, was honored as "Excellent Charity Worker", Xinhua Daily reported.

"Papa & Mama's", a successful case among crowdfunding projects, has raised more than 3.3 million yuan, aiming at solving the living problems of the poor seniors. It helps the aged in need via providing free lunches and professional social service, encouraging volunteers to participate in. Currently it has established over 50 community meal places and provided lunch service to more than 1000 seniors with financial difficulties in the communities with reaching over 10,000 with comprehensive care service.
