China Net Pro has recently announced that it is now capable of providing stable and fast Wi-Fi connectivity used in subways in other countries after acquiring the technologies required to sustain this technology.

The first subway line that would have this service is the 32km long Guangzhou-Foshan intercity subway in the southern part of China's Guangdong province. The trial operations began on April 24 and the internet connection is available in both stations and on the trains itself.

According to Yang Wuwu, the Chief Operating Officer of the Beijing company on his statement on Tuesday "We have acquired mature technology to provide stable and fast Wi-Fi connections on underground rapid transit vehicles." He also added that the data from the trial operations of the service was encouraging for the company's first use of the system. The WiFi system reflected that 10,000 users went online using the system at the same period and the Wi-Fi speed was around 512kb/s even at rush hour periods.

"Our Wi-Fi system is resilient. Even at peak hours and when the train is moving at 80 kilometers an hour, users have no difficulty browsing the internet and watching films online."

Currently, China Net Pro is working on closing deals with other cities for their subways to have Wi-Fi connectivity. They see the business potential it has and at least millions would benefit from the service in Guangzhou-Foshan subway alone per month.
