Since the end of the hit Korean drama 'Descendants of the Sun', Korean actress Song Hye Kyo has been posting a lot of photos in her Instagram account showing her holiday in the United States. Fans are now speculating that the actress is now working on making a breakthrough in Hollywood.
The rumors that the actress may be considering a Hollywood role for a movie or show is due to the revelation that the actress owns a luxurious condo in New York. However, according to news, the condo was purchased in 2009 when she was included in the Indie Hollywood film 'Make Yourself at Home'. With the actress purchasing a new house in Samseongdong, Seoul for $7.5 million recently, the rumors continue to linger that she may indeed be considering Hollywood.
The actress remains silent regarding her next project and according to IBT, the actress is not in a rush regarding her next move.
In her statement, she said "I have no idea yet. I did get a couple of offers, but I still can't bring myself to read a new project. Rather than a drama, I think I may pick a movie."
She also expressed that if she were to make a new drama, she would be very picky regarding the role because she wants a role that would stick to people and hold on to their memories. "For dramas, I've become more careful because now there are specific works that you think of when you hear the name Song Hye Kyo. If I were to do a drama again, I would really like to work on a fatal melodrama. Like a love that can't be? I await a project where I'd have to deeply invest my emotions in."
She also said in her interview with Couch Kimchi, the actress is also considering a varied character for herself which no South Korean actress has done before.
"Just like how male actors get to play varied characters, I would also like to play characters that people don't normally see female characters portraying on screen."
Only time will tell what Song Hye Kyo will do next but it will be something that would make an impact to her fans.
