Jeremy Lin designed a T-shirt to thank the medical staff for their care during his COVID-19 treatment.

Furthermore, together with Xtep, a Chinese manufacturing company of sports equipment, he would fund the construction of a rural medical aid station to thank the Chinese doctors for their hard work, according to his post on China's Twitter Sina Weibo.

On August 7, Lin informed his fans that he was infected with the virus. He said last Wednesday that as his symptoms were almost completely gone, he would return to the hotel to continue his quarantine, and expressed his gratitude to the medical staff for their hard work both day and night.

In his video, he said, "During my treatment in the hospital, I was very grateful and touched by the care from the medical staff, so I designed a T-shirt with Xtep for them on this special day as a tribute to them! In addition to this, together with Xtep, a leading domestic fashion sportswear enterprise, I will donate to build a rural medical aid station through a project named Angel Home of the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation. In the form of public welfare, I would like to thank Chinese doctors for their care and dedication during the pandemic. On Chinese Doctors' Day, I want to say sincerely once again, ‘Thank you for your hard work to protect our lives. Happy holidays! ‘”

Many fans left messages for the medical staff as well:

"Jeremy is so thoughtful. Thanks to all the medical workers for their dedication to keeping us at peace all day and night!"

"The public welfare work never fails. Pay tribute to every medical staff!"

"Salute to all medical staff on Chinese Doctors’ Day! You have been working very hard!"
